Miquel refused my patches (argument: "too big", *sigh*). You can try
alpha.gnu.org/gnu/hurd/contrib/marcus/sysvinit.tar.gz
The job is to split sysvinit in binary and init-scripts package. Any take
overs? I can send you the source to the above package.
