settrans -c /ftp /hurd/ftpfs ftp.debian.org:/
or
settrans -c /ftp /hurd/ftpfs ftp.debian.org:/debian/dists/unstable/main
or
settrans -c /ftp /hurd/hostmux /hurd/ftpfs ${host}:/
ls /ftp/ftp.debian.org
(IIRC).
