compiling hurd

Hi!

Can anyone tell me how to avoid the following problem while compiling nfs
server on Debian GHU/Hurd:

make[1]: Entering directory `/root/hurd/nfs'
set -e; gcc -O -Wall -g -O3 -I. -I.. -I../include -D_GNU_SOURCE -M
-MG consts.c | sed > consts.d.new -e 's/consts\.o:/consts.o consts_pic.o
consts_p.o consts.d:/' -e 's% [^ ]*/gcc-lib/[^ ]*\.h%%g'
/bin/sh: consts.d.new: File too large
cpp: output pipe has been closed
make[1]: *** [consts.d] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/root/hurd/nfs'
make: *** [nfs] Error 2
