shlibs issue and packages
Hello,
I detected yet another bug in our setup. Dpkg package does include a silly
file called /etc/dpkg/shlibs.default, which contains an entry for libm.so
soversion 6, which defaults to libc6 package.
Therefore, slang1 depends on libc0.2 and libc6 (which is silly). Please use
--force-depends until a new version is uploaded and installed.
The only way to fix this is to change shlibs.default or better delete it
completely, it's a stupid file anyway, only provided for backward
compatibilty. Well. There is one issue. Gordon/Joel, can you check if libc
packages should not better contain a libm entry in the shlibs file?
However, I uploaded apache, figlet and tcsh today.
tcsh: for all you out there who dislike bash or simply like a C shell more.
apache: This is completely untested, but it compiled fine with little
changes (why is ndbm.h in db1 directory under Hurd? Is this a glibc
2.1 issue?). PLEASE TEST this if you have a system connected to the
net. You need to fire it up manually, as start-stop-daemon does not
work yet.
figlet: Don't ask. I was bored. Works fine though.
I will now go and fetch a pizza. Have fun.
Marcus
