TeX Live 2025 now available for Debian 12 HPPA-32
I'm pleased to announce that a build of the TeX Live 2025 software
system for typesetting, font design, and programmable graphics
creation, has been successful on Debian 12 HPPA-32 (emulated with QEMU
9.2.2). See
https://www.math.utah.edu/pub/texlive-utah/#debian12-parisc32
for the description of that build. Earlier parts of that Web site
describe how to install a pretest version of TeX Live, and download
binary executables (483 of them) for particular platforms.
I noticed while writing this note that QEMU 9.2.3 was released
yesterday, with fixes for some issues on HPPA, so I will be building
that version for my continuing efforts at getting TeX Live 2025
working on Debian 12 HPPA-64.

P.S. There have been critical bug fixes in a few components of the TeX
Live 2025 tree in the last three weeks. so the 2025 release is not yet
official. My latest work is based on a snapshot of the source tree
from 7-Mar-2025. Debian builders and packagers of TeX Live may
therefore want to hold off until the official announcement, which is
likely to happen in the next month or so.
