correct.

the default mode is for unaligned accesses to be trapped, logged and emulated.
lamont sets it to coredump for ease of getting a backtrace on the
buildds.

indeed it does. unaligned accesses are definitely a bug, unfortunately
lacking manpower to fix all of them.
