You'll definitely need swap. I'm pretty sure debian can't install
packages with less than 48 or 64MB total virtual space.
I have an ob6000 (486DX4 with 24MB RAM) but it takes days to update
because it's swapping several MB per package.
But even then, swapping on a really slow machine is going
to be painful. I'm not sure what you'll be able to do with
the box.
