Kernel Panic when trying to install on a K200

I'm trying to install Debian on a HP-9000 K200.

The first CD I tried (I think it was 3.1r2) seemed to boot, but it stopped at "Freeing unused kernel memory". It froze there until I hit the Enter key and then it gave me a kernel panic. Further keypresses yielded nothing more.

Then, I went and got Kyle's daily debian build (http://people.debian.org/~kyle/d-i/hppa/daily/cdrom/2.6/) and that did pretty much the same thing, but it got one line further... to "Setting up filesystem, please wait ..." Again, hitting Enter gives a kernel panic. The full message is:

FLT 0000Kernel panic - not syncing: Kernel Fault

I'll include the full boot report below. Anybody have any ideas of what I should try? Is this a hardware problem? Are there some boot options I can try?
