parport problem

Hello,

my system reports a "lp: driver loaded but no devices found" problem.

I think it is enabled by default in the kernel, is there another place I
have to change anything to have it working?

uname -a: Linux gecko60 2.6.12-1-parisc

It is a 712/60 box.
