Why does everyone care so much about these unaligned messages? They're
just informative. Can we get back to the actual problem:

 mv: cannot stat `/usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/defaults.ini': No such file
 or directory
That happens because the "firefox-bin -register" command before exited
in a bad way, usually being a segfault.
Thus the questionning.
ok - but willy is right. Sorry - I should have read the bug report.

The seg fault should also produce dmesg output if that in fact occurred.

And so it does: it produced those 3 lines about unaligned access.

Imho those tree line are definitely just warnings,
the actual segv would show much more detailed thing like:

/ # dmesg
/>/ [...]
/>/ do_page_fault() pid=31757 command='???' type=15 address=0xffffffff
/>/ vm_start = 0xbff00000, vm_end = 0xbff03000
