I've "make clean" a few times already, since I've been trying to make the
Harmony driver work, adding or removing ALSA modules.  Still got a broken FB.

Could using a cross-compiler affect anything?  Even then, 2.6.4 was also
cross-compiled and it indeeed had a good framebuffer.
