Sorry but HP9000/725 is too old to have PCI, I think it was born 10
years ago! well my idea is that there is a bug in the xserver-xfree86
conf file (postinstallation) where the is no specific video driver: so
you better use framebuffer device which allows you to manage old cards.
I wrote an addiction section in the HPPA-boot-HOWto freely distributed
in this list where it is mentioned how I configured X enviroment on my
HP9000/710 (really similar to bob's 725). In attach a copy also for you.
