C200 and Voodoo3 PCI Experiment!
Just snagged up a slightly used V3 board on Ebay to try in
the C200. I have an old Pentium-100 I can put it in if it
doesn't work. I hope to get the card by next weekend.
By my reckoning, the firmware probably will not recognize the
PCI card as a possible console, but I'm thinking that I may be
able to pass some type of command to PALO to get it to use
the V3 ( via tdfx.o drm kernel module ).
I think my plan will be to dust off the old dumb terminal on
the shelf and use it for the system console, then try and get
linux to go live with its console on the V3, and just run a
getty on the serial port.
Hehe... boldly trying to get hardware accelerated OpenGL on
the Debian HPPA distro! No guts ... no glory!
Any tips or suggestions for this?
