Hi Ste,

This is a part of your XFree86-LOG:
(--) FBDev(0): Virtual size is 1024x768 (pitch 1024)
(**) FBDev(0): Default mode "800x600": 36.0 MHz (scaled from 0.0 MHz), 35.2 kHz, 56.2 Hz
(**) FBDev(0): Default mode "640x480": 25.2 MHz (scaled from 0.0 MHz), 31.5 kHz, 60.0 Hz
(++) FBDev(0): DPI set to (100, 100)
(**) FBDev(0): Using "Shadow Framebuffer"
(--) Depth 24 pixmap format is 32 bpp

and:
FBIOPUT_VSCREENINFO: Invalid argument

This last line is typically if you gave multiple screen resolutions in your XF86Config file.
Never do that on parisc, instead only give the one which is possible for your gfx card - which I assume to be 1024x768.
Furthermore acording to the above log your card seems to run with 24bpp.
Please verify this with the "fbset -i" command, and it should give you something like
"1024x768-24".
Then please re-read the parisc-FAQ entry #12 at http://www.parisc-linux.org/faq/index.html#12 and
grab the mentioned XF86Config file. Modify it's content as it is described in the top of this
file and try again.

Greetings,
Helge
