perl-modules problem - unable to install packages

Hi,

I've noticed since one week that when trying to apt-get install different packages (less, nfs-user-server, apache...) on different boxes running unstable, the installation process faults unrecoverably, always with the same error:

The following example is quoted from 'apt-get install apache':

Selecting previously deselected package mime-support.
(Reading database ... dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/mime-support_3.19-1_all.deb (--unpack):
files list file for package `perl-modules' contains empty filename
Errors were encountered while processing:
 /var/cache/apt/archives/mime-support_3.19-1_all.deb
Processing was halted because there were too many errors.
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

bash# apt-get install perl-modules
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Sorry, perl-modules is already the newest version.
0 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 10 not upgraded.

bash# apt-get -f install
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
0 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 10 not upgraded.

Looks like 'perl-modules' is br0ken.

Any idea what's wrong ?
