problems building a kernel

I've got a problem building "drivers/hil".

Long ago I got a tarball of the kernel sources. Once a week or so I do a "cvs
update" and make myself a new kernel.

Today the process failed in 'make oldconfig' with:
scripts/Configure: drivers/hil/Config.in: No such file or directory
make: *** [oldconfig] Error 1

I have no such directory (no "drivers/hil"). I see the directory in the cvs
tree on the web and it looks fairly new.

I am no cvs guru - how do I get it on board my computer if "cvs update" fails
to do it.

Downloading the tar ball again is very painful.

Thanks,
Vlad
