Looks like the archive is currently broken:

   cpp-3.0 | 1:3.0.1-0pre010811 |      unstable | arm, hppa, ia64, m68k, mips, mipsel
   cpp-3.0 | 1:3.0.2-0pre010825 |      unstable | s390
   cpp-3.0 | 1:3.0.2-0pre010826 |      unstable | alpha, i386, powerpc, sparc

so we're behind on toolchain.  Of course, we're OK in `testing', so
perhaps we should now start recommending to people that they switch to
testing (woody) instead of unstable (sid).  Thoughts?
