Package: opa-basic-tools
Version: 10.7.0.0.133+dfsg.1-1
Severity: important
Reports in opa-basic-tools require root privilege. When executed as non-root user,
they report a variety of errors accessing the device. Executed as root or sudo,
they work fine.
This is not the case with other Linux flavors, such as RHEL. Perhaps there is a
rules.d file that is missing?
Example:
bsmith@opa10:~$ /usr/sbin/opareport
opareport: No FIs found in System
bsmith@opa10:~$ /usr/sbin/opafabricinfo
Fabric 0:0 Information:
failed to open port hfi 0:1: Device or resource busy
ERROR: opaportinfo failed
bsmith@opa10:~$ sudo /usr/sbin/opafabricinfo
