You cannot become a Debian Maintainer unless you are already a Debian
package maintainer. That means that you do not have to worry about that
bureaucracy yet.
That makes my life easier.
For the Haskell team, things are a little non-standard. What you should
do is work on packages in DHG_packages.git and then ping this list or
our IRC channel asking people who have upload rights to push your work
to ftp-master. E.g. "I updated these packages, please review and
upload: ...".
Do I need to request write permissions, or fork elsewhere and send a PR?
