In fact, I think the experimental branch should be deleted until we need it again (but it currently has some patches not in master, so it needs to be merged first). Note that cabal-debian has support for our new git-VCS-fields in its git revision, but not yet in any released version. So either install from git, or manually set the VCS fields afterwards.
