I guess back then I thought hoogle would only be a web frontend, for which you need a local web server and such stuff that are not very often to find on a developer machine. But the command line interface (and ghci, vi, emacs integration) make it much more sensible. Or maybe I just missed the mail. Kaol’s comments back then are of course still valid (.txt vs. .hoo). So if you feel motivated again, please go ahead!
