correct, although I’d really like to see a solution tied as close as
possible to who GHC determines buildability, i.e. a solution based on
the hash.

I think you once mentioned that you did some work on a ghc6-6.12
package. Do you manager your ghc6 packaging in some VCS? I’d also like
to play around with it a bit.
