Not sure if this is a big problem. I expect that we will update packages
mentioned in the platform only if 
 a) their version is bumped in the platform
or
 b) a program (like darcs) needs the newer version
we will always be sufficiently close to the platform, at least in
unstable. Whether this will also be true about testing, we will see.
