Re: ghci 6.10.1+dfsg1-4 segfaults on powerpc

Now I am really confused. On my debian powerpc system I see

shyamal@turtle:~$ uname
Linux
shyamal@turtle:~$ ld -v
GNU ld (GNU Binutils for Debian) 2.18.0.20080103

while on a (different, Intel) Mac at work of course I see 

dhcp-203:~ sprasad$ uname
Darwin
dhcp-203:~ sprasad$ ld -v
@(#)PROGRAM:ld  PROJECT:ld64-85.2.1


What does XCode have to do with the powerpc segfault?
