How OCAML does this

Hi,

I think I mentioned it here before: The ocaml guys now use virtual
packages to ensure that the dependencies are correct and recompilations
are done when needed: See
http://upsilon.cc/~zack/blog/posts/2009/11/Enforcing_type-safe_linking_using_package_dependencies/
and (for the academically inclined)
http://upsilon.cc/~zack/research/publications/jfla10-dh-ocaml.pdf

I think our system, although technically inferior, is ok for the moment.
But if it starts to cause problems (e.g. ABI breaks between uploads of
the same upstream version), we know where to look :-)

Greetings,
Joachim
