Re: Debian Haskell Platform status and bug reports



By the way, which GHC version will be included in the Haskell Platform Debian package ?
Some things rely on GHC 6.10.2 now.

(I'm new to Haskell's debianers part, I'll try to be of help in a close future)

Yes, that's a concern with Arch Linux too. We had to regress some
things. We currently don't use a true meta package (i.e. we run the
Setup.hs for the actual platform .cabal file, which does additional
sanity checking).

The need to regress things is a bit awkward: likely that'll go away in
2009.2.1 (where we bump things if the API is compat.)
