Yes (not sure if it will be called orig.tar.gz, or just .tar.gz though)

I coudn’t find any explicit statement about this. Anyways, the policy
describes the common procedures, and by using a native Debian package
for a non-debian-specific package you are diverging anyways from the the
common procedure :-). It will probably confuse or irritate some people,
but if that’s ok for your (and it’s otherwise more convenient), why not?

Sounds good. Yes, I don’t think we will choose SVN. Being the Haskell
team, I guess it will be either Darcs or, if considered not reliable
enough, git. But you are right, first we should get haskell-devscripts
in shape.
