Hmm... it starts and runs here, so I don't think it is broken for
everyone.  I uninstalled and reinstalled to be sure that I'm running the
binaries from the archive.  Perhaps related to differences in windowing
setups?  I'm running xwayland and Gnome.

Looking at your stack trace, my first guess is that this is an issue
introduced in libzia based on this bit.
