Before GUI quit:

$ pstree `pidof wsjtx`
wsjtx─┬─jt9
      └─14*[{wsjtx}]

After GUI quit:

$ pstree `pidof wsjtx`
wsjtx───14*[{wsjtx}]

All are removed by killall wsjtx

Restarting pulseaudio doesn't seem to make any difference.
