Could you try the following workaround, and install "libpulse-dev", then

Hi,

First of all, many thanks to Federico for pointing me towards the solution of that bug.

Now, I have a usability problem and I wonder if the problem is with my mouse or the program itself.

I select "Receive CW", speed 12 wpm, Curtis Mode B timing, I have unticked "Adaptive CW Receive Speed", and, however hard I try, I cannot key the "A" letter, which is supposed to be one dih and one dah.

I either get two dihs and one dah or one dih, one dahs and one dih, even If I lower the speed to 5 wpm, and of course I need at least 15 wpm.

I have played around with Mate mouse properties settings, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. I have also tried with the left and right arrow keys and the problem persists.

(Curiously, the reverse is not true: I can key "N" (dah - dih) fine)

I wonder if it is a limitation of the software itself or due to my mouse being wireless. I haven't got a wired mouse with me to try on. I should think that USB mice should introduce some latency, and it could be higher when using wireless? This software was written ages ago with probably PS/2 mice in mind. Could that explain the issue?

Any input is welcome.

(Of course I know this is not the real thing at one point I will need a proper paddle)
