Re: Help add to Debian: dream -- A Software Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) receiver

I would like be able to package it. However, I am not a coder and don't really know what I am doing.

I cannot figure out how to compile this software because it doesn't look like it is made for Debian. If I ran the 'install' command after compiling, I would be afraid that it would put the component parts in weird places. Plus, when I install software like this that is not from a package, I do not know how to uninstall it.

I did compile a kernel a long time ago but I don't really remember how I did that now.

I did successfully compile and install Warzone 2100 ( https://wz2100.net/ ) in order to have the latest version, but that was about 6 years ago.

Also, this is a technical piece of software to get up and running because it seems to require PulseAudio (virtual audio cable) in order to route the audio output of a web browser into the audio input of the dream software. I'm not sure what audio software is running in my Debian. (I'm using 'stretch' because my computer crashes when I try to run 'buster'. (It's the graphics library. I have an old Nvidia card.)

Pulseaudio is configured to provide a virtual audio cable with the following command sent via the terminal:
$ pactl load-module module-null-sink sink_name=MySink sink_properties=device.description=”MySink” 25

If you look at the merged bug report, it was opened in 2012.
