Hi David,
Thanks for the work going into Linpac. I'm
setting up a new shack computer (currently waiting on a mobo
from the US to replace the original that failed after 4 days -
sigh!) that will run Debian Buster (Testing) with libax25,
ax25apps & ax25tools compiled from the VE7FET sources. I'll
compile Linpac on it and report back to you.

Hello Everyone,
I'm happy to announce that Linpac 0.25 has been released. This
new version has some badly needed fixes to resolve known
segfault issues upon start for newest Linux distros with newer
GCC versions. This release also lowers the CPU load on your
system when running Linpac (previously consumed an entire core).
More work is needed here to get it as low as it should but this
is a substantial improvement. Various other mail bugs, broken
pipe errors, code cleanups, and compiler warning have been
addressed.
Debian-Hams package maintainers: Could you please update the
Linpac package for the Stretch and Jessie releases? This is
especially urgent for Stretch release as Linpac segfaults upon
starting due to the newer version of GCC used there. I previous
worked with Colin Tuckley in getting Linpac added to Debian but
I understand he's no longer doing packaging work. Hopefully
someone will pick up this message and run with it!
