I have one, but haven't gotten around to finally trying it. In fact, it
was the reason I started to package the SoapySDR and LimeSuite etc.
LimeSuite is for testing, configuring and updating the LimeSDR and as
far as I can tell, the version in testing/unstable does not handle the
production firmware. I have uploaded a newer version that does to
experimental.

I don't think that limitation will only apply to early models. As they
stated, they can only optimise the front end so much, and the compromise
they settled on isn't great for the lowest end of the frequency range.

It should theoretically work with anything supporting SoapySDR, e.g.
CubicSDR. Not sure about GNURadio support, unless it works through the
soapyosmo interface.
[quick check] Nope, it doesn't work too well, CubicSDR is crashing when
selecting it. Have to check with newer upstream versions of involved
software.

There's pothos (which is more like GNURadio) which I intend to package,
but the problem here is the missing JSON support in Debian's libpoco.
