I've packaged up the code as it was at a commit last night [1] and everything seems to work (although didn't test the hamlib stuff). I see you're making a lot of commits at the moment though, so I won't look at uploading anything to Debian yet, but may look at publishing some unofficial debs in my unofficial repository.
