The ax25-node binary appears to quit as soon as it is run. I used the
update-inetd tool to enable the service as per the README.Debian file, but
the service exits and leaves the TCP connection just hanging. No prompt is
ever displayed.

Can you provide some details on how to set up this package so I can test the
fix to see if this problem is resolved? The Debian security team have
recommended including a README.test in the debian/ folder to allow people to
have instructions on testing the functionality of a package. For a package
such as this, it would be a good idea if this file could be available to
testers.

A few comments on other parts of the package:

 * update-inetd is currently unmaintained, but is a dependency of this
   package
 * the copyright file needs to be converted to DEP-5
 * compat level should be 9
 * standards version in control file should be updated to 3.9.6
 * the buildds report errors that should be fixed
 * please use DEP-3 for your patch descriptions
 * the README.Debian file says port 4000, but /etc/services lists bbs as
port 7000 - either the README should be updated, or the postinst script
should be changed to use 4000 instead of bbs

Thanks,
Iain.
