Package: qsstv
Version: 5.2d-8
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Joop,
I upgraded the qsstv package a couple of weeks ago and it now appears
incapable of successfully receiving pictures. Received images appear as
though they have been periodically sliced and rotated. My feeling is that
this looks like a periodic buffer-read problem from the soundcard.

I've upgraded from a 2.4 to 2.6 kernel in about the same period of time
so it is possible that something has changed in the alsa dsp interface
to have triggered this bug.

I'm investigating locally, but thought I should alert you to the problem
too.

Terry

Thanks for your quick reply.

I am closing this bug based on your statement that you believe you
resolved the underlying issue related to broken SSTV pictures outside of
qsstv.
