Your kernel lacks BSD style pty support (/dev/ttypX, /dev/ptypX).

Our new linux ax25 apps/tools have also unix98 support.

Obviously it's now really time to get it packaged for the various
distributions. We plan a few minor changes. But we all know, software
development is a continuing progress that will never end.
