Re: Qtel for Debian

hi hamish,

here is a list of the files I used to make it go.  I remember doing a lot of fidling and guessing about what file went with which to get the whole package.  together.  watching the errors tha "./configure generated pointed the way.

here's what I found left in my "downloads directory.from a year ago.  I guess a lot will depend on what sort of mods, tobias has made in the mean time.

filename = echolib
/home/harv/download/QTEL-Stuff/ echolib-0.10.2-1fc4.i386.rpm

filename = libasync

/home/harv/download/QTEL-Stuff/ libasync-0.12.1-1fc4.i386.rpm

filenam = qtel

/home/harv/download/QTEL-Stuff/ qtel-0.9.2rc1-1fc4.i386.rpm

much success and good luck,  73

hi everyone,

I got it to work by using alien on the rpm.'s   the problem always seemed to revolve around which set of RPM's to use.   I'll dig around and see  if i CAN FIGURE OUT JUST WHAT i DID TO MAKE IT GO.  iT WORKS OFF THE LIVE cd  i MADE.   AS I recall,  i HAD TO USE THE "ALSA CONFIG ALSO  to get it to go.

There must be sources else it can't be hosted on sourceforge. Looks like
the relevant URL is

http://svxlink.sourceforge.net/

Note that Echolink is not really ham radio ;)
