Problems with TNC and ax25

Hi,

I started today with ax25, and I still have a problem.

I'm using the 2.6.11.5 kernel, and everything for ax25 should be in the
kernel.

After booting I set my TNC21S in the KISS-Mode:

stty 19200 < /dev/ttyS0
echo -e "\r\033@K1\r" > /dev/ttyS0

After setting the Kissmode my TNC flashed 3 times its leds (Connect &
Status).

Then I created the ax0 device:

kissattach /dev/ttyS0 main 192.168.0.1
AX.25 port main bound to device ax0

ax0 Link encap:AMPR AX.25 HWaddr HW99KA
          inet addr:192.168.0.1 Bcast:192.168.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
          UP BROADCAST RUNNING MTU:266 Metric:1
          RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:3 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:10
          RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:54 (54.0 b)

After creating the ax0 device, I wanted to call a station:

call main KACITY

but the only thing happened, was that the "Status" led turned red.

A previously started

listen -at -p main

said:

main: fm HW99KA to KACITY ctl SABM+ 23:29:49

May anyone has a idea, what my problem is?

Thanks!

I ran out of gas. I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab
fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in
from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake! A ter-
rible flood! Locusts! It wasn't my fault, I swear to god! (Jake Blues)
