log digipeated packets

Is there an already established way to log or at least count digipeated 
packets from an otherwise passive system. Something like "mheardd" maybe 
.... is is there a way to configure "listen" to just display digipeated 
packets???

Running kernel 2.4.21, ax25-apps-0.0.6, ax25-tools-0.0.8, and libax25-0.0.11
