hamlib and the freeze
Looks like the new debian release is getting closer, see:
http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2004/debian-devel-announce-200402/msg00009.html
We have a nice number of hamradio packages in testing and some of them
depend on hamlib, version 1.1.4. As you may now, version 1.2.0 just came
out last week. I have not uploaded the new version to debian yet,
because a couple of packaged might break because of the API changes in
hamlib, or they might fail to build from source.
So I am thinking about holding back the new release, until the real
freeze begins and upload the new hamlib package to experimental for the
time being. Once the new Debian version is released, hamlib can go into
unstable again. This way we will not distribute broken packages.
Any advice, ideas?
