That did work Jaime! I just started it up and it is a very nice looking GUI.
Here is the output from dpkg:
root@librabogus:/tmp# dpkg -i --force-depends klog_0.2.2-1_i386.deb
Selecting previously deselected package klog.
(Reading database ... 147897 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking klog (from klog_0.2.2-1_i386.deb) ...
dpkg: klog: dependency problems, but configuring anyway as you request:
 klog depends on kdelibs4 (>= 4:3.1.2); however:
  Version of kdelibs4 on system is 4:3.1.1-1.
 klog depends on libgcc1 (>= 1:3.3-1); however:
  Version of libgcc1 on system is 1:3.2.3-0pre6.
 klog depends on libpng12-0 (>= 1.2.5.0-4); however:
  Version of libpng12-0 on system is 1.2.5-10.
 klog depends on libstdc++5 (>= 1:3.3-1); however:
  Version of libstdc++5 on system is 1:3.2.3-0pre6.
Setting up klog (0.2.2-1) ...
root@librabogus:/tmp#

I will work with this. I have been using xlog, and haven't been very happy
with it. BTW, have you ever used LogEQF? That was the logger I used to use
once upon a time :) It would be nice to have something as functional as that
for Gnu users like me. I liked the search capabilities, remarks area, qsl
status, names, qth, etc...

Thank you agian!

73, wishing you well
