This program seems to work on my laptop.  I don't know why it works, but it 
does.  I can send tone and transmit what sounds to be good tones w/signals.  
This is very interesting!  

BTW, I think your gui work is beautiful, and don't understand your README 
when you say you are not and don't want to be a gui programmer! :)

Thank you for taking the time to drop a note to the list.  I think your 
program will be most useful to many hams as they discover it.  I am just 
sorry I didn't see it earlier.  

In a way, this is good news.  If this program works with this 
kernel/module/sounddevice, then others *should* work also.  Clearly, your 
program is touching the device differently than the others are.

Thanks again, I can't wait to try this crazy mode on the air next weekend! :)
