Gotcha. I've seen that thread as well. Laptops are interesting. I
have a (gift horse) Compaq Presario on which I have installed woody and
can't get either of the two PCMCIA network cards I have tried to work
(although the modules load), confirming the opinion I've had of Compaq
(!= compatibility) since the DeskPro which was my first home computer
in 1984.
I plan to try PSK31 and RTTY on my shack desktop, which has AC97 audio.
If it doesn't work I also have a Cmedia card and an old SB16 either of
which should perform, however. I may give the laptop a try also (I
haven't checked what type of audio it has).
