Re: Nvidia proprietary driver and multiseat with gdm3+systemd

Oleg Samarin, the author of this multiseat patch, started a discussion in the systemd-devel mailing list, as you can see in the November/December archives (logind: multiseat without framebuffer devices). The latest patch submitted for inclusion in official systemd git tree can be found in this link:

http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/systemd-devel/2012-December/007750.html

The main difference between this patch and that submitted in Fedora bugzilla is that the seats are set up for any device with a "seat-master" udev tag (by default, all framebuffer devices would have such a tag), instead of "SeatWithoutGraphics=yes" option in systemd.conf.

The xorg patch in Fedora bugzilla is still needed.

If this patch is needed, you need to report a bug against the systemd
package.

No, this is unrelated. You need to debug the spawning logic, which is
different for multiseat.

The patches for monoseat are:
        17_switch_on_finish.patch
        18_parametrize_create_display.patch
        19_static_transient_display.patch
        20_switch_kill_greeter.patch
        21_static_display_purge.patch

I have adapted them for the code changes for multi-seat but this was
never tested, so there is probably some remaining work.

Cheers,
