It sounds like upstream will disable building of gnome-cd and cddb-slave by default, and in fact, several distributions are already doing this: http://mail.gnome.org/archives/desktop-devel-list/2008-March/msg00186.html As we already ship applications better suited for cd playback (Sound-Juicer, Rhythmbox), would anyone object if we did the same?
