Re: Logout when switching to console

I'm using up-to-date i386 Debian Etch with whatever GNOME version is

When I login from GDM, the session is starting up. If I switch to a
console (ctrl-alt-F2 for example) during the earliest seconds, most of
the time, it kills the session and goes back to the login screen of GDM,
without any useful message in ~/.xsession-errors.

Any idea?

This happens to me with gnome-session 2.14, xserver-xorg 6.9.0.dfsg.1-6 and nvidia 1.0.8178-2. I get a similar message to Vincent Ho's, and so pinned the blame on the un-debuggable Nvidia drivers.
