Quite right; I noticed that too late after I sent my email. I have an
adoption upload for imlib which also installs the missing libraries
that it needs to be a replacement for imlib+png2. Once it passes NEW
processing, I will ask gnome-libs to be recompiled against it. That
should make some progress here.
If gnome-libs is RFA'd when that time comes, then I'll just adopt it
instead of filing a bug against it.
