Hello ! Just replace the file : /usr/share/pixmaps/splash/gnome-splash.png by the picture of your choice, it will be used as splashscreen, but I the old splash may have been overwritten, so it is lost. Perhaps someone else knows in which gnome upstream tar it is placed ? Cordially, Nicolas.
