I've been helping with building PPC packages and testing the upgrade path. I can
attest that with 2.8.1 being released, plus 2.8.2 and 2.8.3 packages starting to
appear, GNOME 2.8 is more than ready to enter unstable.  I also agree that it
resolves a lot of issues that were pending in 2.6 and, as such, wholeheartedly
support releasing GNOME 2.8 with Sarge.
